I founded Mind Over Matter Media in 2014, inspired by my mother’s words during challenging times through my young life: “Mind over matter — if you don’t mind, your worries won’t matter.” After losing her, that phrase became my compass. In life’s hardest moments, it carried me forward. The initials — MOMM — feel like more than a coincidence; they’re a quiet tribute to her.

Raised in New Mexico, skateboarding shaped my creativity and resilience, and wildlife photography sparked a lifelong connection to the natural world. In the mountains, bow hunting elk while honoring the traditions of my Native ancestors grounded me in respect for land, heritage, and discipline. Today, whether directing wildlife films for the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance or creating cinematic work for brands like Rolex, Under Armour, Qualcomm, Discover LA, Petco, Nature’s Recipe, Lexus, Guinness World Records, and Taylor Guitars, I tell stories rooted in resilience, reverence, and the belief that true strength begins in the mind.

Originally from Venezuela. I grew up with a deep curiosity for the natural world, shaped by childhood weekends exploring creeks, collecting small wild wonders, and watching nature documentaries that sparked something I never let go of.

In my early twenties, I moved to Seattle, where the Pacific Northwest opened my eyes to the power and presence of wild places. What began as painting slowly turned into photography when I picked up a camera almost by chance—and I haven’t stopped creating since.

Today, I use storytelling to connect people to nature and wildlife, capturing moments that inspire care, curiosity, and respect for the planet. My work is rooted in a simple belief: the more we feel connected to nature, the more we want to protect it.
